Default Hilarious PvP build - Kills in under 2 seconds...

Ok, I'm getting bored with this build, so I thought I would share it with the rest of you (I believe it is completely original, haven't seen it used or posted anywhere..).

So, think you can't kill a full-health target in less than 2 seconds? Think again...

***

Ele/Assassin

16 Fire
10 Daggers
9 Energy Storage

Golden Phoenix Strike
Twisting Fangs
Phoenix
Conjure Flame
Glyph of Essence
Energy Boon {E}
FLEX
Res

Precast the Glyph (and conjure flame of course) and hit a soft target with:

GPS
Twisting Fangs
Phoenix

YIKES, Dead before they know what hit'em...

Because of the fact that (unlike spells) attacks have no 'after-cast delay', if you hit Phoenix as you start your twisting fangs animation, they will hit almost simultaneously. You will always get the double shot from Phoenix, and your target will usually be insta-killed.

The combo takes 40 energy - so use Energy Boon to be ready when your skills recharge (30 sec for the glyph...)

Enjoy...

I've been playing a build similar to this for a while, except I use Glyph of Sacrifice and end with a Star Burst. Also I use Horns, I never thought of using TF because it's in Critical Strikes, but then again, you shouldn't need the DW for too long. Perhaps with TF I won't need energy to follow up with SB, so I can use GoE and I'll be able to kill more often with no added 30 second recharge.

Insta-cast Phoenix Assassins... great minds think alike

its only for deep wound, not for the basic damage bost or energy aspect of critical strikes

This isn't a glitch...if glyph of essence wasn't made for such a thing than it was made for barely anything at all.
People had said it was useless but they were looking at it the wrong way this is what it should be used for.

Faux is a guildee - I shared this build with the guild last week - we attempted to make it work for HoH but didn't have much success. It's hella-fun in the randoms tho...

Wouldn't this be better in Gladiators forum being pvp?

Flexible, I would guess. Not essential to the build, so take what you like.

Been a thought I've been having myself (using a glyph to shorten the Phoenix cast time), albeit on a warrior, for PvE. Energy-expenisve, but hey, a nice packet of damage before you start building adrenaline... assuming the target doesn't have too much armour against fire.

I think Flex refers to the emote, and the OP showing off :P

No really...I think it means flexible

omg awesome build! i tried it on those dummies in the nameless isle place and i was shocked how fast it dropped. and the deep wound from twisting is a nice touch to help drop the target faster. good job. i could have some real fun with this build.

Nooooooo

we dont want wammos stealing good builds

IOm going to test this tommorow. Should be a hella fun.

In the flex area you could put shadow of haste in there.

Just drop to 8 energy storage and SoH lasts 9 seconds, long enough to get in there, do the damage, and run in the wrong direction temporarly.

Question: Are you using fiery tangs?

edit:

Just did some math, lets say everyone has 480 health

if we assume everything does its max damage, there should be 384 health max from teh deep wound.

Phoenix does 214 damage. this means that the dagger attacks do 170 damage...

Max damage with a dagger at lvl 10 dagger mastery is 15 right?

15+23+17 from first hit
15+10+15+10+17+17 from dual attack

This is 84 damage, assuming we hit with a 15 on each strike.

this means you have to do a extra 84 damage from outside sources, and i dont think 0 seconds of bleeding provides that.

From where i am atm on the math, im not quite sure it will work. But i will still try it... just need to unlock... 3 of those skills.

very nice build =) i love close combat ele's and this will be fun to try out. i have another idea though that may also work...tell me what you guys think.

instead of glyph of essence why not try taking glyph of sacrifice so you don't lose the nrg and take flameburst as the flex skill. Flameburst will do the extra 84 dmg you need. Also since you don't need the emergency nrg from nrg boon you can take ether prodigy instead.

Conjure Flame+Glyph of Sacrifice+Golden Phoenix Strike+Twisting Fangs+Phoenix+Flameburst

My results from this build are from practice not theory, and I can promise you that insta-kills are very frequent....

here's where your math may be a little off ...
* my dagger is customized (+20% damage) and has a +15% while enchanted mod
* critical hits happen... especially if they start moving (then they are automatic)
* 480 hp is not a good marker. Spellcasters usually have a Superior equipped and often run with non-hp mods on their weapons (meaning that health is 455) Hell, in RA not everyone has a Sup Vigor...

However, sometimes I DO have to follow up with another hit to kill .... that's where Conjure Flame is nice

Glyph of Sacrifice would mean that your spikes could only be executed once every 55 seconds (the recharge of Phoenix is 25). That's a little too long to be practical.

You could try to mix in Assassin's Promise to solve that problem (I did) but the sequence became a little too fragile - Assassin's Promise has to be cast before the Glyph - then you have to get into range, et al, it just didn't work there was too much that had to go right...

Ether Prodigy also doesn't work ... it removes Conjure Flame which is requisite damage...

For the Flex skill, I like Shadow Refuge in RA since you pretty much have to have a self heal. If you have a Monk (TA, AB) then Dash is nice - sometimes you have to finish them off and they try to run... Dash is also wonderful for getting you the hell out of there post-spike...

This build looks very interesting.

Could this build be reworked for just a single 1v1 fight, and if so, how?

My reason is this. My guild is having a 1v1 tourney. 1st place is 50k and daddy needs a new set of 15k armor It is a one time enter, no skill changing tourney and my biggest threat is touch rangers This build may be just the thing i need but again thoes damn tough rangers.

Can anyone help me?
